I always get so excited for him because I loved each and everyone of my school dances.

Tommy and I planned a Halloween party for a few of our closest friends in Hurricane. Everyone pitched in and we got 2 bounce houses for the kids.

Spooky cake walk, bobbing for apples, candy jar guess, and doughnuts on a string and tons of yummy food.

It was so much fun! We have the best neighbors and friends. We can't wait to do this every year!!!!!!!

While I have had the best of hopes of getting this blog up to date before the end of the year it just didn't seem to be in the cards. I am still months behind.

The last 3 months have been filled with lots of holiday fun with family and friends. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas have all been the best we have ever had. Hopefully, I can get it all documented on this blog at some point! We have really been enjoying time as a family and I hope 2012 will be more of the good times!

The kids had a blast showing off thier playground and friends and I had a great time hanging out with my friends. I Love living in Hurricane!!!!!! I should have taken pics of the kids with thier teachers but i only got this one of them with Mr. Lowe. He was the school councilor last year and Nifae just totally took a liking to him. He taught the kindergarten about fitness and life skills. We are missing him so much this year!!!!!!!!!!

We had a fun day! (We cheated a little and went to my work pool party.) She had a total blast and Tommy and I ended up winning a bunch of prizes. Then we headed to St. George and did some Costco shopping and ended up with this "cake" which she loved to pieces.

Teenagers

So if you follow this blog you may notice I have about a 100 to 1 ratio of pic of my kids vs. pics of Joey.
I guess the reasoning is because well.... my kids don't mind when I get my camera out. Maybe that has something to do with their age. Teenagers seem to have less tolerance for that sort of thing. Maybe this is why:

Maybe they don't trust our judgement on where and when we will post pics. Funny, that is the same reason I don't trust teenagers with things like thier own camera or Facebook. So I guess we are even, right?!

Anyway, I have always wanted this blog to be some what of a journal but it is very inaccurate. Joey is very much a part of our everyday lives. We love him so much and I am pretty sure he loves us just as much.

This picture of him crashed out on the side of our bed is taken one Sunday when we all watched The Other Side Of Heaven as a family. Everyone crashed out but this guys took the prize for the longest nap. He must have been growing. It was such a great Sunday.

I try my hardest to resist the urge to grab my camera when he looks so sharp and handsome so that I don't embarass him. Often times I want to record a conversation with him because he can be so sweet or record him playing his ukaleilei but I know he would stop just as soon as I pressed record.
That being said I just have to say~ We love Joey so much. Even if his picture doesn't pop up on there as often as I would like. We have had many ups and downs and my eyes have been opened up to the stress that a teenager can bring but I am grateful for Joey in our lives. He has taught us a lot about life and ourselves. Love you, Joeman!

This was the most fun 1st birthday party EVER! Loved all the under the sea decore and got to see some of our favorite people. The kids ran free and the entertainment was so good! We even got to see Ashley and Ma'a which my kids LOVED to see them after so long.

Mini vaca

We usually stay at my parents house when we go up North but we had a party in Provo to go to the first night so Tommy made an executive decision and got us a room for the night.

It was so much fun! Tommy knew the lady at the front dest and we got hooked up with this awesome suite.

The kids pretty much had their own area seperate from our room and best of all they had their own TV. They thought they were pretty smart in their own little apartment.

My kids favorite thing about staying at a hotel is the pool. A close second is those little note pads and pens they leave by the phone. That is hours of enjoyment for my kids right there.

This was one of my most favorite "vacations" EVER. It was just so last minute and random and totally relaxing. We got some major family time in and that makes me the most happy. I think about it all the time and it makes me smile. I was so happy when I stumbled upon these fuzzy pics.

This was our crew this summer. While Tommy was out of town and Joey was off to AZ or stuck up in his room with 5 of his closest friends~ this was what consumed my summer. Some of my summer highlights was cuddling up with all 3 in the mornings. crusing around checking out what Southern Utah has to offer, filling up on Snow Caps and Little Ceasars Pizza, making smoothy pops every 5 days, working on craft projects and missing Tommy and Joey. We had such a fun summer and I feel so lucky to have these 4 awesome kids in my life!

So, they havn't always been the best of friends but I think they are starting to finally turn a corner. I find them playing and laughing more then they are being grouchy towards each other. Owen is learning to "help" less and incourage more. Lilia is learning how funny Owen can be and that they have a lot in common. This is cause for celebration in my mind. I have been pretty intense about them not fighting. It bothers me so bad when I hear them butt heads. I know siblings will always have a degree of friction growing up but my tolerance lever for it is very low. ANYWAY~ I hope they will continue to get closer as the years tick on.

I like to head up to Zion's after dinner. The sun is just about to start falling and all the animals come out. If you get a good shuttle driver then he will stop and tell you all about the fun animals out there.

The kids, as you can see, LOVE the maps.

They also like the shuttle ride but O, as you can see, does not like the smell of hikers after a long day of hiking.

Hurricane East Stake Girls Camp 2011

I got called as the Assistant Camp Director last spring and had a great time planning such a fun event for the YW. I was nervous because, being fairly new to the ward, I didn't know the girls or many of their families. But that is what is so sweet about Girls Camp! It is like a spiritual boot camp. When i left up the mountain I was sleep deprived and stress to the max with all the planning that goes into this. Also, at that time there was so much drama going on with Tommy's family AGAIN and it was taking it's toll on me. Once I got up on the mountain it all seemed to float away. The girls taught me so much about keeping an eternal perspective and helped me realize that everything they were planning for and hoping for, I had. So grateful for my eternal family and for the importunity I get to serve in this church so that I can show the Lord how much I love and appreciate all that He does for me. This was one of the biggest Spiritual Highs of my life not to mention SO MUCH FUN!

I know Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. But sometime, I think it works just a teeny bit better is you have a little kids say the prayer.

On Sunday I couldn't find my phone. I looked GENERALLY around the house and car and couldn't find it. We sat down to dinner. Owen was the last one to have my phone, so of course I gave him the most grief about the phone being missing.

He said, "Mom, did you say a PRAYER?"

I really hadn't looked in every possible place so I didn't get to the prayer part yet. I told him not yet and then he said, "well, lets say one."

Owen, "Heavenly Father, um, please you help my mom for find her phone? Amen."

I thought it might be in my closet so I headed that way. I saw Lilia's dress on my bed and I picked it up to hang it up and sure enough there was my phone under her dress.

It took a whole 5 seconds for HF to answer that sweet prayer.

This story should be in this blog 400 more times because THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS. He hears and answers prayers.

So as we start last week , Tommy gets some sad and crappy news. He has two cousins on either side of his family that found out they are have cancer and it is in stage 4. Surgery's are happening to remove tumors. Biopsy's are being done. And our family is fasting, hoping and praying our hearts out.

I know that HF heard all those pleas. I know he will help. I know that our family is forever. I know everything will be ok. I am thankful for such an easy way to communicate with our Father in Heaven.

Tonight we were talking about life after death and temples and the plan of salvation.... you know it all runs into each other. ANYWAY, Nifae came up with a great plan for us all, (he said this in his couch voice complete with hand motions) "K, if you die, stay in heaven and we will all meet you there. If you go to Satan, try really hard to go to heaven.

LAst week testimony

Last week, during song, scripture and prayer, Tommy bore his testimony to the family. After he asked us to share ours. Owen went first and it was a beautiful testimony for a 5 year old. He told about loving our family and sharing and being nice. Then he warned us about being mean and to say sorry. He is so cute.
Nifae was very emotional when Tommy and Owen bore their testimonies. When it was his turn I thought he might have a hard time emotionally but he pulled himself right together. He bore the most amazing and mature testimony I have heard. At 7 years old he told us that he knows and loves Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. He said he knows the Holy Ghost will help us whenever we need it. He said that the HG will help us to feel happy or help us when we are scared. He bore testimony of prophets and missionaries. He expressed his love for us and told us that he knew the scripture are true and that they help us.
'The spirit was so strong. He spoke with so much surety. Tommy, Joey and I all looked at each other to see if everyone was hearing this.
We were all just blown away. I have never heard such a young person share such a strong testimony with so much conviction.
I can not begin to describe the joy I felt when I heard this or when I think about it. Nifae at the age of 7 has such a powerful testimony. And Owen is right in line spiritually with where Nifae was at his age.
They both amaze me and are such awesome examples to me.

totally out of the blue

So I have been a subscriber to BabyCenter.com for over 7 years now. It's this crazy awesome (free) site that will update you weekly when you are pregnant and will tell you everything you need to know about what your baby is doing that week and what is normal for you and your body that week. I read the updates religiously when I was pregnant with Nifae and it was WAYYYYYYY better than the book What To Expect when Expecting. After the baby is born it updates you on what your child should be doing and what is normal or what to look out for. I loved to read all of them weekly. Then after a year monthly updates about what my child could/should do. When I got pregnant with Owen I read them all over again and Tommy and I enjoyed comparing the 2 pregnancies. By the time I had Lilia I was just reading the short snippets of all 3 kids.

ANYWAY~ I sometimes read them to Tommy just to keep him up to-date on what the kids can do or somethings we should work on.
Today we were driving down the road and I was reading them to Tommy like I have done many times. Here is what I was reading:

Talking like a pro
Most 7-year-olds speak clearly – and often! Many of the speech impediments (such as lisps) that affect the speech of younger kids disappear this year as fine-motor control of the tongue and mouth matures. Newly minted 7-year-olds can hold their own verbally with much older kids.

So I get to this point and I am totally fine.... but then I read the next line~

They have a vocabulary in the thousands of words and understand still more.

Nothing major right? wrong, I just lost it and start to cry. It totally shocked me and Tommy was looking at me like I was an alien. What in the world was I crying about???

Well, I just remember his first word, "Ball" and how he would say "ba" and the first time he said "Mama" and "Papa" and I remember writing down all the words he knew. How in the world did we jump from that to my little baby having a vocabulary in the thousands?? When exactly did that happen? I was so shocked that tears were running down my face.

I don't know why I felt the need to blog this but here I am. I just can't believe how fast time goes by. I love my kids so much and love to know and see what they can do. I love to see them grow and change but I really really really miss my little babies. Sometimes I get stuck in front of the computer scrolling through their pictures or playing little snippets of videos we took forever ago. It just goes by to fast!

They ordered some fight (yeah, not my favorite thing) and the kids played Xbox while the ladies played Quikel.

We had some awesome nieghbors come over and join in the fun.

This day was actually THE WORST DAY of the whole year. Not because of the Enos' but there was a lot of family crisis/drama going on. I was so happy that Tommy took me to Zions the night before because it was such a wonderful time and we needed it so bad.
The past few years have been filled with so many joys but also so many LAME/crappy/sad/mad/stressful things.
Thank goodness we have a some great support from my family and many of our friends. I love Tommy so much and can't imagine dealing with so many crazy things without him by my side.
This blog has been a spot for me to document all the many blessings that we have had. So many good times. But it just wouldn't be real without mentioning that sometimes crap does happen. It sucks but life goes on. Hopefully I can continue to document the good times and have less hard time down the road.

Tommy surprised me and took me to Zions for my birthday this year. Yeah for turning 32!

We stayed at The Cable Mountain Lodge right at the base of Zions and it was beyond beautiful.

Happy bday to me and thank you to my sweet husband. Love you so much!
