It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I got the tree up a little early this year. It's a funny story. I usually don't put it up till AFTER Thanksgiving but....
I gave into peer pressure!
My sister an law has been decking the halls all month long. Then I started to notice that all of my friends that are from Hawaii already had their trees up....
So I started to think that my Hawaii born husband might want his tree up, also. I thought I would surprise him when he got into town with the tedious task done. I carried the big old box up from storage, put it together, put on all the stupid lights on it (which included 2 trips to Targets for more lights), then I started to decorate it.
I found that I had bought the freaking cutest stuff last year during the After Christmas sales. Surprise... that was awesome!
I got it all decorated and had all the kids sworn to secrecy. Since we talk to Tommy like 80 times a day, it was pretty hard to make sure they zipped it, locked it and put the info in their pockets until he got home.
Well, he called Thursday and told me that he was getting home early and would be able to pick up Nifae from school (this has happened 2 times in a year and a half). AWESOME & THANK YOU!

When he walked in the door he kissed me hello and went about his business. Hello... notice anything different???????????

He informed me that Nifae had gotten in the car and said, "We have our Christmas Tree up!" I told the boys they couldn't say anything till he got home and technically... he was home. Grrrrrr!

I think when Tommy saw the tree he was less excited about my choice of colors (these pictures are from my phone so they stink) Pink, White and Silver. And white feathers to boot.

Here birdie, birdie!

Oh well, I have been enjoying it and the kids love it too~! I am really excited for Thanksgiving to be over with so Christmas can take over!!!!

This is a really boring/lameish story. Sorry!

Sugar High

I gave the kids Kool-Aid to drink with lunch today.

We normally drink Crystal Light in this house but I was out and happened to have some Cherry Kool-Aid lurking in the cupboard.

It's been a long time since my kids had tasted the straight up sugary water. This was the first thing Nifae said after his first sip.

"Why does my drink taste like a sucker?"

hahahha,!

Well because basically it is!!!!

Owen was knocking it back and he said, "Does this have sugar in it?"
It reminded me of my FAVORITE movie EVER~ Elf!

Morning Prayer

Owen's prayer this morning:

"Heavenly Father thanks for days. Thanks brother be a good man. Bless me.... I'm Owen. "

Nifae chimes in, "But your Awesomest-Prime (Optimus Prime from Transformers)"

O, "No I'm not! I like to be a bad guy."

N, "We'll then why does your shirt have Awesomest-Prime on it?"

O, "I'm him now. I'm a good guy now. Heavenly Father bless our cereal and our fatty girl, she gots ouchie teeth and thanks for our Christmas tree. For Halloween I want to be a leaf and....... (on and on and on!)

He eventually muttered an Amen.
He's prayers crack me up!

The Early Bird gets the Ax

Well, at least this turkey bird did.

We had Thanksgiving a few weeks early this year since Tommy's mom was in town. Maile and Tommy cooked up all the fix'ens and we sat down for a real deal Thanksgiving Dinner.

It was so good that I feel like the real Thanksgiving already happened. I keep forgetting that it's next week.
Ashley sitting at the dessert table. Smart girl.
Maile and her beautiful fall tree.
Scrabble was played.

After dinner we took a walk to the temple. (See earlier post titled "Within Walking Distance".

The Temple grounds are so beautiful. We are soo sooo lucky to live so close.
The kids loved every second of it .
I was shocked at how well behaved they were.
I can't think of a better thing to do on Thanksgiving.

This might have been one of my best Thanksgiving ever. What a great place to end a thankful night!

Shake it like a Polaroid Picture.

shake it...shake shake... sha shake it!

Interning

We have the best Pediatric staff ever!!!!
They treat us so good and just love our kids.
"Hello0, this is Lilia, how may I direct your call?"
She wanted to check everything out. I'm not sure who is training who :).

Shoot'em up.

We decided to go ahead with the H1N1 shots. It helped that we got ours for Free. Woot woot!
O and Nifae were troopers just like with the flu shot. Nifae said it tickled and O just wanted to get his toy from the nurse.
Lillsy was less excited about hers. She cried and patted my back as I patted hers. She is so sweet.
